Take the Cable Car from Åndalsnes town center to the summit of the mountain Nesaksla, 708 meters above sea level - in just seven minutes - offering breathtaking views of Romsdalen's fjords and surrounding peaks.
At the summit, visit Eggen Restaurant for a delicious 2-course lunch made from local ingredients. Enjoy traditional Norwegian cuisine with a modern twist in a relaxed atmosphere against the stunning backdrop of Romsdalen's mountains.

After lunch, take the Cable Car down again and step on board the Golden Train, departing from Åndalsnes train station, across the street from the Cable Car lower Station.

Delve into the historical events of World War II and the origins of “the Golden Train” along the way. The leisurely pace of the train allows you the opportunity to capture photographs of the amazing scenery.
Along the way, the train will take a short photo-stop at Bjorli station, where you can disembark and soak in the serene beauty of the surrounding nature before taking the journey back to Åndalsnes.
