Half Day Package at Camp Tamok – Midday Departure – Incl. Transport

For anyone who fancies a slow morning in the city, you can join our midday departure to Camp Tamok and spend the whole afternoon and evening combining two activities of your choice.

Your half-day adventure will begin with a 1,5-hour bus ride from Tromsø to the remote Tamok valley. Upon arrival at the camp, you can freshen up and get geared up in the warm winter clothes and boots we provide, ensuring you stay warm and comfortable throughout your stay at the camp. Our camp host will inform you about the afternoon’s program.

Midday Activity

Depending on your choice of activity (upon booking) you will head out on an adventurous dog sledding or snowmobiling tour followed by the time to relax and warm up with a hot meal in one of our lavvus (indigenous Sámi tent).

After the midday activity, most people will return to Tromsø by bus. Since you have chosen to stay a full day at the camp (combining a midday activity and evening activity), we have made it possible for you to stay at Camp Tamok in between activities.

Camp Stay

During this time, you will have the chance to explore Camp Tamok by yourself. Explore the beautiful surroundings, spend time at the dog yard, relax by the campfire inside the lavvu (read a book, play a game or socialize with others) or gather around the campfire outside.

Evening Activity

Depending on your choice of activity (upon booking), you will head out on a snowmobiling - or reindeer sledding tour, or join the northern lights visit.

After your evening activity, you will return to the camp, where a warm meal awaits in one of our lavvus (indigenous Sámi tent).
Once again, with food and drinks served, gathered around the open fire, you will get the chance to relax and share stories of your latest adventures.

After dinner, it is time to board the bus and return to Tromsø, taking with you great memories of your day in the Arctic wilderness!
