Snowshoe Hiking
On this excursion, we will traverse up into the mountain ranges overlying the Snowhotel, walking through different types of snow.
We will pick you up at your hotel in Kirkenes, and take you on a 15 minute ride to the Snowhotel Kirkenes camp outside Kirkenes.
You can wear your own clothes if you have good winter/touring clothes. If not we will dress you fully up with our warm and comfy clothes and shoes.
The journey goes first along the fjord, and then up the snowy hillside, which is not too steep. At the summit of the mountain, there will be time for a break, where you will get the chance to take in the magnificent view of the Sandnes mountain plateau and down to Langfjorden, the arctic fjord by the Snowhotel.
A classic Norwegian touring snack and hot juice from local berries will be served at the end of the tour in our Gabba restaurant.
After the tour our driver will take you back to your hotel in Kirkenes.
