Welcome to an unforgettable Arctic experience at Camp Tamok, the gateway to wilderness. Join us for a range of outdoor activities and engaging storytelling at the Ice Domes’ snow and ice sculpture park surrounded by the pristine nature and peaceful landscapes of Northern Norway.
Join us for a 1.5 hours bus ride from Tromsø to the remote Tamok valley. Upon arrival at the camp, you can freshen up and get geared up in the warm winter clothes and boots we provide, ensuring you stay warm and comfortable throughout your stay at the camp. Our camp host will guide you through the day's program.
Divided into smaller groups you will participate in a variety of engaging experiences, some accompanied by a guide, others to explore independently.
Campfire Crafting:
Learn the essential survival skills from your knowledgeable guide as you partake in the art of crafting a campfire, essential for staying comfortable on a cold winter's day.
Master the art of starting an outdoor fire yourself and gather around its warmth and light while you immerse yourself in captivating stories about the local lifestyle and the rich culture of the Arctic region. Grill your own sausage on the open fire while we will serve a warm soup and hot berry juice keeping you warm and cozy outdoors.
Snow Adventures:
Get ready to get active and try navigating through the snow-covered terrain on tandem skis. Race the other team for an extra dose of excitement. Learn about the history and evolution of skis as a traditional way of transport and the sport of skiing in Norway.
Ice Domes’ Snow Sculpture Park:
Discover the magic of the snow and ice sculptures in the Ice Domes’ Snow Sculpture Park. Wander around by yourself and marvel at the beautiful art coming to life with ice, snow, and lights.
Encounters with Arctic Wildlife:
Get close to the two most iconic animals of Northern Norway: cuddle and take photos with the huskies and go visit the reindeer herding near the Snow Sculpture Park.
After a fulfilling day outdoors, we'll ensure your safe return to Tromsø, with a comfortable bus journey back taking approximately 1,5 hours.

Please note that this activity will take place entirely outdoors, exposing you to the elements of the Arctic winter. Therefore, it is crucial to dress warmly and appropriately for the weather conditions to ensure your comfort throughout the experience.
We will provide warm thermal suits and boots, but it is still important to dress up in layers, wear proper winter garments, and prepare to embrace the cold for this Arctic experience.
